Glenn Murray Boren Originally uploaded by Grandma Boren . Glenn Murray Boren was blessed Sunday by his father, Levi. Murray participated in the blessing along with their Bishop (also named Glen). Glenn's middle name was a surprise for Murray and I was wondering whether he would faint or cry at the announcement. Lucky for Glenn he did the latter.

Grandpa & Tut Originally uploaded by Grandma Boren . Murray was thrilled that Tuttie really "took" to him during our visit to Schenectady. They played lots of games and built Duplo towers (see Levi & Shauna's blog for photos). Tuttie even enjoyed sitting on Grandpa's lap.

Grandma's Boy! Originally uploaded by Grandma Boren . Tonight Levi, Shauna, and Tuttie went for a short trip to Walmart. This is the first time I'm alone with Glenn, so what does a good grandma do? Why, take pictures, of course. Here's my favorite. His eyes are open. This is still a rare occurrence.

Welcome, Glenn! Originally uploaded by Grandma Boren . Glenn arrived last night (Tuesday, March 7, 2006) right on schedule. He did not want to be out done by his big sister, Samantha, who also arrived on her due date. Glenn showed up at 9:38 pm EST at the St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady, NY. He did out do her sister in size. Glenn weighed 8# 3 oz. and is 21" long. Mother and baby are both doing well as Glenn is already an accomplished nursing baby.

"We Trim Our Nails..." Originally uploaded by Grandma Boren . Tuttie received a fingernail trim getting ready for Sunday. You can see how thrilled she is. Levi said it was the easiest time he's had trimming nails in a long time. He attributed it to my being there. I also got credit for a quite Tut while driving in the car. As soon as the novelty of my being around wears off I'm sure the volume will go back up. Tuttie is quite a singer. She is only nineteen months but she can match pitches so well that when she starts to sing you know exactly what song it is even with her jargon for lyrics. Way to go, Tut! This other photo is going to Church. I wanted you to see the front of their extremely cute tri-plex. Three cheers for Grandpa Knecht for the apartment. It is really great.

Murray Turns 56 Originally uploaded by Grandma Boren . Murray turned 56 today and celebrated with a carrot cake with not quite 56 carrots on it but almost. He received pretty functional presents such as new jeans, a fishing license, new Skip-Bo cards (the old ones are so used that they stick together, which makes it too easy to cheat.) One of his presents was a big surprise. I got him a subscription to the "The New Yorker" and the first issue arrived in the mail today. He was very surprised and pleased. We had quite a discussion earlier in the week about what he wanted for his birthday dinner since steak is out (he had an adventure getting his gout medicine from Medco this past two weeks, but that is another story.) He thought buffalo wings were a good idea but I thought that lacked imagination since that was what Emma requested for her birthday dinner just 4 weeks ago. The reason his desk looks so clean is because he's not using it at the moment. Since he's on leave this semester all the creative clutter goes on at home.
